Governing Your Faction (13.05.2025)
Greetings fellow save breakers, today we will be talking about Seats of Power 2.0 and progress so far.
Faction Policies and Faction Experience
So this module is going to be centered around player faction. To give more of feeling, that you are not only governor of colonies, but also leader of faction, that you have established.
To help you govern your faction a new mechanics will be introduced : two of them being Policies and Faction XP

New Policy UI
Faction XP will serve as metric of progression, where your faction grows from one small colony, to vast, influential empire. You can earn it passively with certain new mechanics (Data Expunged) or by doing noticeable things, that will be displayed on faction timeline.
With more XP, you will earn more faction levels, and with levels will come benefits,two of them being faction policies themselves and slots for policies.

Enlist today
Each policy is tied to one of types : Economic, Social, Military, Research(Exclusive for VOK) and Special. All policies are intended to be trade-offs. You get something, you loose something. Once chosen and left Command tab, policy will come into effect and policies, that were removed, will be negated.

For flavor and as well as for policies that will get stronger in time, I have added tracker keeping how long policy is in effect ever since.

Faction Timeline
As mentioned before, one of ways to earn Faction XP will be doing noticeable things. Here all will be displayed in faction timeline: A history of your faction!

Faction Timeline
Such things as colonizing your first class V world, reaching first time size 6, 7 or 8, rebuilding megastructre , researching important technologies, completing special projects or colonizing unique worlds.
With each noticeable event, you will get points that will advance Faction Goals (WIP). Each goal will have its thresholds, and once completed will give unique bonuses, in the end giving access to unique capital building, that will provide very big bonuses.
With all being said. There is still much to do, a lot of work ahead. All suggested policies by community of my own modding bay, and ones that I have planned.
I work around the clock, to bring this module to you all in shape and condition that I will be satisfied,and you all as well. Next thing in dev diary will be Faction Capital,Overview and Timeline Goals in greater detail.
