Hai ,welcome everyone in this dev diary, which is second part of previous one. Today faction timeline and overview.

Faction Timeline

Another layer of roleplay I plan is faction timeline. Such feature will introduce a new layer of roleplay to your faction, by recording notable events, done by your faction

Each event contribiutes to either one of faction goals : Research and Exploration , Military and Prosperity, or all of them (Unique)

Timeline events were made in such way, that every mod can add their own timeline events with custom checks and requirements, as soft dependency on this module.

As you could notice, each event gives points to certain faction goal. They serve as additional reward, for just doing things, and progressing your faction. Each goal gives different bonuses, depending on which threshold you have reached.

Together with Vaults of Knowledge enabled, there are over 100 events, that can be recorded on your timeline!

In this tab you will have complete overview of your empire. Treat is as UI, where you can easly get data about your colonies, your market shares, your population etc etc. Main purpose here is to provide quick info about your faction

Having here example of your population graph: you can also check how your faction is in comparison to others.

Faction Capital and new buildings

In overview UI you can see small tab about faction capital. This was one of core mechanics, introduced back in Seats of Power 1.0, basically your capital, while giving bonuses, it is not recommended to lose it, due to heavy de-buffs you receive.

You will be able to choose capital once you reach level 2 of faction experience. Once done, you will be also able to build special buildings, that can only be built on capital world. Such as Logistic Center from Prosperity Goal, or Nova Exploraria from Research and Exploration, in new form, serving as industry not only for techmining, but also for surveying systems, and looking for... unique things.

With all being said. This is still far far away from being done, while a HUGE progress was made during week (yes week that is why dev diary is so soon), there are many policies and capital buildings, that need implementation.

I work around the clock, this is last dev diary related to Seats of Power, before 2.0 release. I don't wanna show everything : P
